The Centre Pompidou x West Bund Museum Project has launched an annual special exhibition that presents selected collections from Centre Pompidou in France. This exhibition has received full support from the Shanghai Museum. It features works from Dong Qichang, Bada Shanren, Yun Shouping, and Gong Xia and provides an avenue for aesthetic dialogue between the East and West. It will explore the relationship between surrealism and Oriental culture, a subject that has not been fully discussed before. The exhibition also showcases works of several surrealist masters like Joan Miró, André Masson, and Zao Wou-ki. It will take the audience on a spiritual journey, tracing the trajectory of human thought and civilization in the 20th century.
