This exhibition marks the largest solo museum exhibition of British contemporary artist David Hockney in China to date, and it will also be the most extensive display of Hockney’s works on paper ever presented. With over a hundred selected pieces, the exhibition delves into Hockney's unique visual language, artistic philosophy, and the transformative power in his works. As a pioneering figure in contemporary art, Hockney is celebrated as the "Godfather of British Art" and one of the most influential British artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Over the past half-century, he has created numerous visual images with distinctive personal style and historical significance, earning him the prestigious Order of Merit in the UK. Hockney's art is highly valued in the art market, frequently setting records, and his influence spans art history, popular culture, and fashion, making him an indispensable part of our era. The exhibition features works from the 1960s to the 2010s, covering a range of Hockney’s representative creations.
