Nestled in the tranquil outskirts of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, the dog-friendly guesthouse combines modern comforts with a touch of rustic charm. Surrounded by lush greenery, authentic waterways, and serene mountain views, it offers a peaceful retreat with plenty of open space for dogs to explore and enjoy.

The guesthouse features a variety of cozy room styles, all of equal quality, along with a communal dining area and outdoor spaces perfect for soaking in the fresh air. While the guesthouse is thoughtfully designed to accommodate both humans and pets, please note that dogs are not allowed in the pool area. However, a river just outside the hotel provides a natural alternative for cooling off.

For breakfast and lunch, traditional Chinese dishes will be served, offering a taste of local flavors and culinary traditions. In the evening, enjoy a Western-style BBQ for dinner, featuring a selection of grilled meats and sides for a satisfying end to the day. Vegetarian options are also available. Please inform the event organisers in advance.

Difficulty: Easy – Both hikes follow paved sections, dirt paths and is a mostly flat trail, with a few sections that include stairs. No prior hiking experience or technical skills are required, making it accessible for all participants.
(All hikes are optional. Guests are free to relax at the guesthouse or explore the nearby area instead.)

If booking alone, there will be an additional charge for a private room. However, guests who are open to sharing a room may inform the event organizer, and efforts will be made to match them with another single participant. Please note that a shared room arrangement is not guaranteed, and if no suitable match is found, the private room supplement will still apply.

*Trip will only proceed if 9 or more rooms are occupied. In the event of insufficient participants, guests will be notified one week in advance, and a full refund will be provided.
*Please note that your booking is confirmed only when full payment is made. Seats are limited. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to a friend, but rescheduling to another trip is not permitted.
Rascals on the Road is Furry Friends approved and is committed to helping animals in need through a close partnership with Furry Friends. Each trip will include 1-2 dogs looking for an adopter or foster home. Additionally, Rascals on the Road has partnered with Spare Leash, a pet-sitting platform that connects pet owners with verified sitters, offering in-home, 100% cage-free care.
Guests interested in meeting these dogs are encouraged to reach out, and arrangements can be made for them to join the trip.
All outdoor activities carry inherent risks of injury. By participating in any Rascals on the Road activities, participants acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their own actions, as well as those of their dog, and any resulting injuries. Rascals on the Road, its organizers, and guides are not liable for any loss or injury sustained by participants or their pets during these activities.
Participants must adhere to safety guidelines and ensure their pet is non-aggressive and free of any illnesses. Owners bear sole responsibility for any injuries, fights, or incidents involving their dog, as well as associated costs such as vaccinations or medical treatments.
Photography Policy: Photos taken during the trip may be used for promotional purposes. Those who wish to opt out should notify the organizers before signing up.
