Get out of the city and into the fresh air with a day hike through Jiuxi Shibajian, one of Hangzhou’s most scenic trails, known for its winding streams, bamboo groves, and sweeping tea garden views. This 9km trek takes hikers through Longjing Village, past cascading waterfalls, and up to panoramic lookouts with glimpses of West Lake in the distance.


Translated as Nine Streams and Eighteen Gullies, Jiuxi Shibajian is known for its winding streams, crystal-clear waters, and lush hillsides, creating a breathtaking landscape that has inspired poets, artists, and travelers for centuries. The area features dense bamboo groves, ancient trees, and scenic trails winding through the peaceful countryside.
Participants will embark on a leisurely hike along well-maintained pathways, immersing themselves in the natural splendor of the surroundings. Along the way, charming bridges, rustic pavilions, and secluded alcoves will offer unique vantage points to admire the scenic beauty of the area.

This trail winds through terraced tea gardens, offering panoramic views of the countryside and distant glimpses of the iconic West Lake. Hikers will have the opportunity to learn about the intricate process of tea cultivation, from planting and harvesting to processing and brewing, all while enjoying the serene beauty of the landscape.

Difficulty: Moderate – suitable for all physically fit people, with a 9KM route and approximately 4 hours of hiking.

*Trip is suitable for people aged 6-60 years old who can handle an 9-10 km hike. Babies and toddlers are not recommended, as the trail is not stroller-friendly. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
