Featured Performers:

Vocal – Yuko Kishi

Known for her rich emotional depth, sincerity, and explosive vocal power, Yuko Kishi possesses a wide vocal range spanning three octaves. Trained in classical singing during high school, she later fell in love with SOUL and MOTOWN, adopting vocal techniques inspired by legends like Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, and Dianne Reeves. Her passion for jazz led her to pursue a career in improvisational music, performing across Tokyo and Yokohama. Since relocating to Shanghai in 2009, she has become an essential figure in the jazz scene, performing at major festivals, the Shanghai Expo (Japan Pavilion), and the Japan Film Festival. In addition to performing, she runs private vocal training sessions, mentoring aspiring singers in vocal techniques and performance.

Piano – Ye Ye

A graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Ye Ye later earned a master's degree in Flamenco and Latin Jazz piano from Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. His impressive career includes a solo performance at the Barcelona Consulate’s New Year Concert, key roles in jazz ensembles like the Liu Wei Quartet, and appearances at major festivals such as the Beijing International Music Festival and the Shanghai International Arts Festival. Additionally, he has served as the music director for Hippo Music Festival and is an avid reviewer of synthesizer brands.

Bass – Danny Zanker

Danny Zanker began his professional bass career at 16 in Texas before moving to New York, where he immersed himself in jazz, playing upright bass alongside some of the world’s finest musicians. During his time in New York, he performed in Balkan and Middle Eastern ensembles, as well as avant-garde and contemporary jazz groups. Inspired by his diverse musical influences, he eventually formed his own band, Anti-Elevator Mission, gaining widespread recognition.

Drums – Sun Bin

A highly accomplished drummer, Sun Bin graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a major in percussion. His career highlights include winning second place in the Ice Tea Original Music Competition (2002), touring globally with the Teresa Teng Tribute Concert, and serving as the live sound director for Shanghai Foreign Language Channel’s East Meets West. He has performed at major events such as the Pepsi National Band Tour and The Voice of China, played at the Shanghai International Jazz Festival, and taken the stage at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium for the National Style Celebration in front of an audience of nearly 100,000.

As a well-respected figure in the drumming community, Sun Bin has served as a judge for jazz drum competitions, given masterclasses nationwide, and collaborated with renowned artists such as Ping An, Wu Mochou, Zhang Lei, A-Lin, Yu Kewei, and Zhou Shen. He has also been involved in prestigious performances, including the 007 Symphonic Concert with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra under conductor Yu Long.
