About

Post-rock bands seem to only enrich with age and experience, and Beijing’s pentatonic is a prime example in that regard. Forming in 2008, pentatonic make gorgeous melancholic soundscapes - finding ‘the artistic embodiment of the acoustic elements where they derive aesthetic delight from in instrumental’. While they’ve seen spurts of creative maturity over the years, including last year’s LP ‘Torn and Stitched Up’. No frills post-rock music that’s genuine above all else, they're performing over at Yuyintang Park alongside Shanghai’s own post-rock stalwarts 21 Grams and avant-garde instrument rock powerhouse An Corporation.
