Galdive is an Indonesian singer-songwriter duo whose music blends R&B, jazz, classical, and world influences into a unique sound that is both soothing and rhythmically vibrant. Their distinctive mix has led to hundreds of millions of streams across Spotify, YouTube, and TikTok in just a few years, along with a growing fanbase. Their tracks have become essential on dance studio playlists worldwide, consistently dominating charts with their smooth, fluid musicality.
In 2023, Galdive embarked on their first tour in China, winning the hearts of countless fans. Now, two years later, they are ready to launch their new "Blue Tour," in conjunction with the release of their highly anticipated album Blue. The new tour promises to deliver another captivating musical experience to their devoted audience.
About Blue
According to Galdive, Blue carries a more mature essence compared to their previous works. Their evolving connections with family and friends have opened new creative channels, inspiring richer musical ideas. The duo has explored acoustic instruments and revisited past musical influences, especially drawing from the sounds of the 1980s, bringing them into their latest project.
The title track Blue, the first song written for the album, set the tone for the entire record. Beyond being a musical centerpiece, the color "blue" holds personal significance for Tisha—it’s her favorite color, representing both the peacefulness of the sky and the melancholic beauty of human emotion, mirroring the album’s emotional duality.
Galdive's Blue is set for release on May 9th under the esteemed independent label Mom+Pop Music, known for its roster of internationally acclaimed artists, including FKJ, Tycho, Beach Bunny, and Courtney Barnett. The upcoming tour will not only feature fresh tracks from Blue, but also reimagined versions of fan-favorites from past albums, offering a nostalgic yet exciting experience for concertgoers.
About Galdive
Galdive’s musical journey began in 2019 when Osvaldo and Tisha, both music students at the University of Jakarta, discovered their remarkable artistic chemistry during a coursework collaboration. The duo’s name is a creative blend of Osvaldo's surname "Galih" and Tisha’s surname "Diva," symbolizing their unified artistic vision. As they put it, “We wanted our names to represent our music because we believe our sound is an extension of who we are.”
Their music is a product of extensive exploration across various genres and eras, blending elements they love from different styles to create their signature sound. Galdive refuses to be confined to one genre, instead thriving on the endless possibilities of creative experimentation.
Beyond personal projects, the duo has also composed and produced Die 4 You, one of Korean artist DEAN's biggest hits. In addition to music, Galdive delves into the visual arts, personally creating all of their music videos and designing the visual aesthetics for their releases.
