After centuries of spiritual cultivation, the immortal White Snake, weary of the solitude of the celestial realm, descends to the mortal world with her companion, Green Snake. By the shores of West Lake in Hangzhou, she encounters Xu Xian, an apprentice at a traditional medicine shop. The two are instantly drawn to each other and soon marry.
However, Fahai, a monk from Jinshan Temple, learns of the snakes' true nature and intervenes, determined to uphold the cosmic order that separates spirits from humans. His meddling, coupled with Xu Xian’s wavering trust, leads to a series of dramatic confrontations—the horror of the Dragon Boat Festival, the desperate quest for the Mountain Herb, the epic flood at Jinshan Temple, and the emotional reunion on Broken Bridge.
Through it all, White Snake’s unwavering devotion ultimately melts Xu Xian’s doubts, reconciling the couple. The central conflict—between Bai Suzhen’s transcendent love and Fahai’s rigid dogma—unfolds in a whirlwind of passion, betrayal, and redemption. (A modern retelling of a Chinese opera classic)

Tickets: 80rmb-580rmb
Duration: 120mins (No intermission)
Back in the days of the Song Dynasty, war breaks out as the northern Liao kingdom’s general Xiao Tianzuo sets up the near-impossible Tianmen battle formation. General Yang Yanzhao and his son Yang Zongbao try everything to break it but fail. So they send Yang Zongbao to Mount Wutai to bring back the reclusive monk-warrior Yang Wulang for help.
On his way there, Yang stumbles into Mu Ke Village, right into the training grounds of Mu Guiying, a fearless female warlord and local heroine. She captures him, but instead of tossing him in a dungeon, she serves tea. Turns out they’re both from legendary military lineages. Sparks fly.
Mu Guiying, raised on battle drills and national pride, not only agrees to help break the formation but also hands Yang Zongbao a tactical diagram to defeat it. But before they go back to camp, she insists on tying the knot first. A battlefield wedding? Iconic.
Yang Zongbao returns to camp, diagram in hand, new wife in tow. His father is... not thrilled. General Yang, ever the strategist, orders his son executed. But plot twist: it’s a trap to lure Mu Guiying to camp—if she’s really the genius behind the diagram, she’ll show up to save her husband. And she does.
Cue dramatic entrance. Mu Guiying storms the camp, argues her case with sass and sword in hand. Granny She (She Tai Jun) tries to stop the execution. The Eighth Prince catches on to the General’s secret plan. After some sharp-tongued banter and comedy-of-errors, Mu Guiying hands over the battle plan, gets her husband off the chopping block, and joins the army as commander.
Spoiler: she absolutely crushes it. Dressed in armor, she leads the troops, smashes the Tianmen formation, defeats Xiao Tianzuo, and rides back victorious—a national hero and icon of female courage.
