Description

This universal entrance ticket for the Modern Art Museum grants single-day access to all current exhibitions. Tickets are valid for one-time admission only (no re-entry). Note that exhibitions rotate periodically—visit SmartShanghai’s listing for details on current displays.

Admissions:

Tuesday – Sunday, 10:30am - 6pm（Closed on Mondays)
The last entry into the museum is 30 minutes before closing.

Child Ticket Policy:

Child tickets: 1.2-1.5m (must be accompanied by an adult)
Children under 1.3m can enter free with an adult

Preferential Ticket Policy:

Students (Master's Degree and below) with valid student ID
Senior aged 60+ (including 60 years old) with valid ID

About Modern Art Museum

A former coal storage facility known as the Lao Bai Du Coal Warehouse (老白渡煤仓), it was transformed by Atelier Deshaus (who also did the West Bund’s Long Museum) into a museum. It has retained many of its original structures, like a long, elevated channel that runs into the facility from the north that used to transport coal. The raw, industrial interior is largely preserved. Exhibitions here have included the joyful Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon and cult master Junji Ito, who's responsible for some of the creepiest manga in the world.
