About

This is the celebrated French artist’s first major solo exhibition at a Chinese art museum, now open in Shanghai. Featuring over 60 dazzling works—including his signature glass bead sculptures and gleaming glass bricks—the exhibition transforms the brutalist space into a shimmering dreamscape of light and reflection. Crafted in collaboration with artisans from Italy and India, Othoniel’s sculptures explore the tension between fragility and monumentality, intimacy and universality. His poetic language of “emotional geometry” invites viewers into a meditative space where color, form, and light become portals to memory, longing, and beauty.
