Description

A crossover concert featuring violinist Charles Yang and pianist Peter Dugan, blending classical, jazz, and pop into one program. The performance moves between iconic repertoire and original works, with both artists also contributing vocals.

About the Performance

This concert brings together violin, piano, and vocals in a genre-crossing program curated by Charles Yang and Peter Dugan. The repertoire spans classical works, folk-inspired compositions, and popular music, alongside original pieces and arrangements by the performers.

The program includes works such as Monti’s Czardas, Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, and Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 2 in G major. The second half features arrangements of well-known songs including Summertime, A Change is Gonna Come, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Fly Me to the Moon, alongside original compositions by Charles Yang.

An intermission divides the performance into two parts. The final program is subject to change.
