Across two evenings, Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts Orchestre de Paris in programs featuring works by several European composers. The repertoire includes orchestral works by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, along with compositions by Bartók, Mozart, and Sibelius.
The April 17 concert includes Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune and La Mer, Ravel’s Ma mère l’Oye suite, and Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2, performed by violinist Renaud Capuçon.
The April 18 concert features Debussy’s Rondes de printemps from Images pour orchestre, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, K.216 with Renaud Capuçon, and Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5 in E-Flat Major, Op.82.
