Liu Ren and Zhang Ruyi present a collaborative exhibition that explores the intricate relationship between individuals and the urban systems that shape their lives. Through nearly 50 works spanning sculpture, installation, and mixed media, the artists construct a shared spatial logic that reflects both industrial precision and the confining structures of contemporary city life. Liu Ren transforms fragile, everyday materials into poetic carriers of memory and history, highlighting the tension between human vulnerability and the sweep of civilization. Zhang Ruyi, in turn, interrogates urban order and disorder, reconfiguring mundane objects to reveal hidden social and emotional structures within the city. Together, their works create a dialogue of interconnected perspectives, where ephemeral experiences and overlooked materials are reanimated, inviting viewers to reflect on the passage of time, individual agency, and the subtle contradictions of modern existence.
