The 13th Shanghai Fine Arts Exhibition is a biennial survey show presenting recent work by artists based in Shanghai, held this year at the China Art Museum. Founded in 2001, the exhibition has become a regular snapshot of the city’s art production, spanning a wide range of media including Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, digital art, experimental work, illustration, and design. This edition is the largest to date, bringing together several hundred works selected through an open submission and jury process, alongside invited pieces. The show offers a broad overview of themes, techniques, and stylistic directions currently shaping Shanghai’s art scene.
