About the Show

This recital presents a carefully selected program of classical violin repertoire. It begins with Mozart’s Violin Sonata in B-flat Major, K. 454, followed by Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 45. Chen will also perform the Preludio, Loure, and Gavotte en Rondeau from Bach’s Partita No. 3 in E Major, BWV1006, and Sarasate’s Playera, Op. 23 No. 1, and Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25. The program covers a range from Baroque to Romantic virtuosity.
