Potent is like two venues in one: deeper inside you've got a smaller room with a lot of world-class techno bookings and one of the better soundsystems and lighting systems in the city, and outside that room you've got a much bigger room which, on any given Friday or Saturday, is full of dudes and men sweating to the sounds of pop, hip hop, and commercial house. Generally very busy on Fridays and Saturdays, and there's always a cover, usually at least 100rmb. Sometimes the smaller room is open on Thursdays for special events.
