Situated at creative hub AUNN (which also houses popular Danish bar Mikkeller) on Yanping Lu, Bonica is a grill and bar featuring mainly Mediterranean treats. The venue, as well as other concepts in the same building, belongs to Armada Group. Their kitchen is headed by Mexican chef Marco Chavez, who has worked in several fine dining restaurants in town, like Mr and Mrs Bund, Polux, etc. There is a wine cellar at the entrance, which will lead you into an industrial styled dining area, as well as a lovely patio with outdoor seating. Must go-for here are grilled vegetables, meat, and seafood, but they do offer food from other continents, such as risotto, pasta, and some chef's specials. A glass of cocktail would cost over 70rmb, while a wine glass is over 100rmb. Price is not cheap, but if you are looking for somewhere for a date, this is not a bad option.
