Airy, comfortable cafe/bistro in Columbia circle with lots of plants, natural light, a nice breeze, and a huge open kitchen. If Wagas, Alimentari, a Guizhou bistro, and Muji had a child, it might look something like this. They’ve got some deli style meats, cheeses, and other antipasti, a big case of baked goods and another full of desserts, and a menu of fusiony, brunchy dishes like rendang beef over mashed potatoes, cheese and lamb niangao, toasts with various savory toppings, blue cheese morel cream niangao, truffle fries, truffle baguettes, grilled beef skewers, steaks, and Guizhou grilled chicken, among others. It’s busy for brunch on the weekends and still brisk during weekdays. There's a decent selection of coffee, juice, and wine. The music is a bit random but the volume and tuning suits conversation. There's a decent amount of outdoor space and it's covered, which makes this a good choice for a rainy day. Maybe not a destination place but definitely good for a brunch or catch up or a bit of working if you’re in the area.
