BackDrop Vinyl is a record bar and café that opened along Suzhou Creek in Jing’an. Spanning two floors, the space combines a vinyl shop, café, and cocktail bar, with around 600 records covering genres from jazz and classical to rock, soul, and newer releases. Each table is equipped with its own Audio-Technica turntable, allowing guests to pick a record and listen the old-school way, turning the space into a slow listening experience rather than just a background music setting. Coffee and light drinks are served during the day, while cocktails take over in the evening, making it a laid-back spot for browsing records or settling in with an album for a while.
