Took a minute there but the concert organizers have told SmartShanghai that indeed a Shanghai show for Megadeth is in the cards: May 12 at the QSW. The thrash metal titans are experiencing a bit of a late career resurgence this past year, picking up the Grammy for their 2106 record Dystopia for "Best Metal Performance". The band is currently on a world tour behind said album, with shows also in Beijing and Hong Kong. They were last in China in 2015. SmartTicket will be handling tickets for the event. There's only general admission to this show. That's the good news. A metal show with a standing room audience. And... tickets are one price: 980rmb. That's the... *ahem*... less than good news.
