Mojave 3 rose out of the ashes of British shoegaze band Slowdive. Rachel Goswell, Neil Halstead and Ian McCutcheon decided that while distorted, ambient soundscapes were fun, they’d made three albums worth of them, and it was time for a change of course. They signed to 4AD under the name Mojave 3 and started putting out rootsy, acoustic guitar numbers, splashed with sunlight and the heady sparkle of summertime waves. They're in town for one night at MAO. Not often that bands of this nature come to Shanghai, so this is not to be missed.
