MIDI Electronic Music Festival
The Mansion and friends have organized a second, electronic-only MIDI Festival this spring (the first one already happened May 1–3). There's like 900 DJs of varying quality playing for 48 hours non-stop, including Brandt Brauer Frick, Joris Delacroix, Mumbai Science, Sulumi, Duck Fight Goose, Elvis. T, Ozze, Steo le Panda, Electronail + Shanghai International Language University Orchestra, Busy Gang (Shanghai), Dexter (Shanghai), Conrank, Donn Wong, and more. The site looks really cool -- could be a fun weekend out of town. Tickets are 300rmb for three days pre-sale, or 200rmb for two days pre-sale. Transport provided by Dragon Adventures is 80rmb roundtrip.
Buses leave from Shanghai Bus Depot (1485 Beijing West Lu, near Changde Lu, Jing'an Temple Exit 2). Times are noon, 4pm, 8pm, and 11pm on Friday, 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, and 12am on Saturday, and 9am and noon on Sunday.
