S.T.D., one of Shanghai's oldest and busiest underground promoters (they run Arkham and Arcade), are throwing a bass-heavy rave for their 8th birthday. Headliners include the UK's Mumdance, who makes some of the freshest (and challenging) grime and techno sounds coming out of the UK these days. He's backed by MC Elf Kid. Following the bass theme is Beijing's Howie Lee, one of the dudes behind the Do Hits! label. For the rock / indie kids that have always comprised part of S.T.D.'s fan base, there's a DJ Set by UK band The Horrors, and local support comes from R3, ADO8, and Downstate. This one will definitely be packed with a mixed crowd of hip young thangs. Cover is 100rmb. Goes from 10pm-late.
