Xintiandi destination for cheap kebabs, shisha, and not-so-cheap-but-good Turkish food. For the last decade, Anadolu on Hengshan was the place to get a kebab in Shanghai, before all those other shops opened in the last few years. The place stayed open until 3-4am, serving up hungry drunks coming out of the clubs on Hengshan. In 2014, that whole strip mall shuttered, and Anadolu moved to Fuxing Soho in Xintiandi. The space is bigger, but the cooks and the formula are about the same. They have a bit of outdoor space for hookah as well. A huge perk here is that they stay open until 2am -- there's not much late night food in this area, especially Western food. Go for the lentil soup.
