Gao-Chi (or Kao-Chi in Taiwanese) is the first Shanghai branch of the long-running Taiwanese dim sum chains. The mid-sized restaurant features trendy traditional-style decor and an open kitchen. Their signature dish is old school Shanghainese shengjian (fried pork bun) with very little soup with thick skin on the top. Price is a bit steep compared with other local snacks, but the ingredients are good and service is decent.
