The food is good, the wine not too expensive, the place not easy to find but once you did it's really such an atmosphear... like in a true south-west bistro. Very typical and great deco. If you don't like invading and friendly "patron" don't go there, but if you like sharing good fealings and good mood go there, it's the place !

The tartare is great, the surrounding is ok, service is fair, the music selection is horrible, the boss is drunk, not funny, arrogant, gruff...

One of our favorite places in Shanghai. Don't get there often (maybe once every two months) but it NEVER disappoints. Love the food the atmosphere and think Vincent's manner adds to the place ... read what you want there.

I didn't like the attitude of the boss. He is an arrogant, noisy, invading person. This didn't help to accept the so-so level of the food. In France, "Le Bouchon" would probably be a truck-driver joint. Go there only if you are drunk enough.

By far the best restaurant in Shanghai for a date! Vincent and crew make you feel as comfortable as any place I have ever visited and the food is outstanding. Best of all is the legendary steak tartar which is made tableside by Vincent and sensuos with every bite. Le Bouchon should not be missed for those living in Shanghai and wanting an oasis of fun, food and wonderful wine.
