After a long forced closure due to Bund renovation, the lighthouse bar Atanu has re-opened and still offers one of the most unique drinking environments in Shanghai. Atanu is the old lighthouse building on the Bund, and offers up cheap-ish drinks to tourists and others looking for a few cocktail in and interesting locale. The venue at one time served as a gimicky place for local promoters to throw parties, and time will tell if anyone moves in again to get the place buzzing again.
