This cafe/restaurant/wine bar serves light American fare such as sauteed fish and pasta dishes. Upstairs the ambiance is cozy, with an inviting fireplace as the centerpiece and soft couches to lounge on if you're there for a beverage.

The title said it all. i'm really impressed with that dish. me and my friend also had pumpkin soup, pan fried salmon with risotto and banana crepe, but they were not as impressive as the salad! the service was averagely alright. Well, basically it was a nice meal in a nice cosy sofa and mannnn, that beef salad!! :)

I've been to Amokka a few times now, weekend brunches, business lunches, meeting over coffee. It still amazes me that in the months I frequent this venue, the staff is still not getting to grips with service standards. On each visit we will get the wrong food served (usually the food destined for the table next to us), and on two occasions we would get billed for other people's food as well. Here you always have t double check the bill!! It stopped being amusing - though not for the staff; they shrug this off as 'this happens'.

It's all rather average-ish, folks that have been eating out in this part of town will not have any real discovery moments here. Most is copy-paste from an Arch, a future perfect. I do think they are missing out on the lunch crowd. What, with their lunch specials being 'anything from the usual menu + 10rmb for ice tea'. Unimaginative...
Space & ambiance is its best ace. The deco and overall mood here is fantastic, be it noisy depending who else shares the joy. But top score for the laid back yet somewhat posh interior.
So I'd say that it's one of those places that doesn't offend or disappoint, which could be considered an achievement already. But it is sort of an after-thought kind of choice venue. Has more potential than actual offer...

The original Fei Dan is not as chic in decor as its younger sister in Dagu Lu, but offers an impressive variety of imported foods and some deli items, as well as some imported wines and beers.
