The owner of William the Beekeeper, Cairn Wu, is a Chinese-American who is already known to Shanghai's small fashion community through her flagship store, Kaileeni. The focus in Wu's shop is on vintage goods, but she also carries high-quality honey and stuff from local indie brands like Snoozer Loser, Kaileeni and Finch. Secondhand finds hail mostly from America and Japan, with a lot of the stuff originating from the '70s and '80s. Stuff here tends to be a tad pricier than at similar boutiques in town, with dresses ranging from 600-800rmb. The store itself is also delight: all wooden furniture and natural accents, this is also the place to pick up the brand's signature home-farmed organic honey, and, new in store, chunky bars of scented soap, on offer for 97rmb.
