Situated in a majestic colonial villa in the French Concession, Shari does contemporary Japanese cuisine with some fusion elements thrown in. There is a strong focus on maki (roll sushi) and you'll find many of the Cali-style standards on the menu like California and Philadelphia rolls. In addition to sushi, there are standard tempura, robata (grilled fare) and nabemono (clay pot) dishes.
