Three of us were at Herbs last Thursday for dinner. The decor was very nice in the front room, but no one was sitting there because of the draft from the door. The back room was a little too dark for our taste, but pretty nonetheless. Our food was good, but not really noteworthy. Maybe we just didn't pick the right dishes. Although the pomello salad was quite nice with a bit of a kick. The service from the staff was a bit slow during our meal. However the saving grace, and why I'll go back if if in the neighborhood, was the offer of the owner to go out and fetch a taxi for us. It was raining and none of us had an umbrella. That was well beyond kind.

The food here is fine, not amazing, but as good as any other Thai restaurant in town, and the green curry is exceptional. I was most impressed with the service attitude, we kept remarking on how good it was...it was more like Thailand than Shanghai. They still make mistakes (the place is fairly new), but acknowledge them, and in our case, compensated us for them. The decor is also nice, no windows, so it's dark, but somehow appealing, with thoughtful touches in the lampshades and the herbs with little names on them to identify them. Worth checking out.

The food is great.. my favorite is the charcoal grilled pork and tom yum soup... the service is very nice, the waitresses are very friendly. the place is very cosy and traditional which i like a lot. The thai tea is another must try (dont pour the sugar because it's already sweet) will definitely go back! :)

First the good, the food, taste, authenticity, decor and service. Second, the bad, its quite misleading in its menu, but its a good misleading aspect, for example, the soup, in the menu is 1 portion for 108rmb, why is it a good misleading point? cause the 1 portion is enough for at least 2 to 4 people. The Ugly, well its not the decoration, its the menu, its badly designed, they should have the original Thai names of the dishes, as its hard to know what dish is which from the bad translation.
