Editor's Description

You don't need to a wear a tux to get a get a good kebab - Anadolu's decor is crumbling - but the lamb, hummus and pita are all good quality for cheap. Expect to dine with crowds of slickly-dressed middle easterners most any night of the week.

My fiancee and I decided to try this place for a cheap dinner out. While the editor's description indicates that it is an inexpensive place to get a quality kebab, I would disagree. Maybe the prices were increased since the description was written. Entrees ran from about 90RMB to 200RMB. We ordered a grilled chicken dish and the grilled eggplant. Both were unsophisticated and overcooked. Service was adequate. But the legion of largely idle, red and white pinstriped wait-staff managed to stand a little too close, and still not really be paying attention when needed. Overpriced food and lackluster service should at least be paired with conversation worthy decor. Probably not worth the visit unless you are in the area and craving a doner.

we ordered beef doner, and got greasy lamb instead. 2 staff including the owner tried to convince us it was beef cooked in sheep oil, which it clearly wasn't. not going back.

Overpriced, stingy on the serving. Not flexible about the orders, the waitress don't have a clue about anything. Best avoid unless yhou dying of hunger.

Don't know if it's genuine Turkish food or not, but it's as good as any I ate in Istanbul, and the rice pudding is the best I've had. A lot of people seem to be complaining about the price- that's up to them, 28RMB for a kebab doesn't break my bank though.

We were there on 25th of Decemeber. The food was very tasty. We ordered different dishes for the whole crowd (around 10-12 ppl). The service was also good. Finally they offered tea at the expense of the restaurant. We left the place really satisfied. I recommend to try Turkish coffee!!! Costs: 100RMB per person + drinks

Don't bother with Anadolu. The restaurant is well located, but the service and the food does not worth all the ads you can find in magazines. We actually wanted to discover the Turkish food, so when ordering we asked the waiter some suggestions and questions about the menu, but she was unable to explain clearly what was inside... The price also is way higher than the quality of the food. We went for 160 RMB for 2 10cm-long doner, one humus (awful!) and 2 diet cokes. This restaurant is a joke. You'd better try other restaurant that serves real Turkish food!

I try it after all that comments and the food was good and authentic. You get there the best Doner Kebab in Town and the Pide抯 are great. The service was ok and it is a great place before and after the nightlife.
