Former owner of The Plump Oyster owner David Brode has regrouped on Yuyuan Lu with this casual oyster bar. Brode has eliminated the middleman by partnering up with an importer. As a result, the restaurant's namesake shellfish are a bit more competitively priced that what you see elsewhere in town. So as not to distract too much from the main event, the rest of the menu is mostly simple dishes that draw a lot of inspiration from Spain as well as straight-up pub grub, like cheddar fries. A small, but adequate list of cocktails, wines and beers is available, too.
