West Bund Art & Design is back this year at the West Bund Art Center, and it's running all weekend until November 15. Dozens of Shanghai's biggest galleries are putting up works from some of their premier artists. Look! Look at how many galleries there are!
That's so many galleries! It's always a big deal, a great way to get a snapshot glimpse of Shanghai's year in art, and is sure to be packed this weekend. We managed to get in during a lull in the crowds. Here's a preview! (Info on how to get in at the bottom of the article)
Tickets are 180rmb on the door. You'll have to fill out a form on your phone, show your health code and probably your actual passport or ID, too. There're some vague notices about "ticket selling may be stopped depending on the pandemic situation" so... keep that in mind? Excepting pandemic circumstances , it's on every day from noon to 6pm (last entry at 5.30pm).
