Yesterday marked the Tenth Annual Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit. It was the first time in years that the race wasn't hampered with rainy weather. Fortunately for the drivers, that meant a relatively clean and smooth race. Unfortunately for the spectators, that meant a relatively clean and smooth race. There were a few minor dust-ups. The Force India cars swapped some paint in the second lap. Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing-Renault lost a wheel in a collision with Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne. But ultimately, after approximately 90 minutes of what The Guardian described as "noisy tedium," Fernando Alonso of Ferrari won his first victory of the season. Kimi Raikkonen of Lotus-Renault and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes joined him on the podium. Sebastian Vettel, season leader thus far, loped a across the finish line in a disappointing ninth place. Apparently, it was pretty quiet after the race as well. No driver sightings at any of the after parties to speak of. Alonso himself was even quoted as saying, "The celebrations tonight will be nothing special as I have an early flight for Bahrain." Nevertheless, we've managed to capture some of the action from over the weekend. Click here to open the slideshow.
