Mexicans would be suffocated by it. Even the Japanese might need a moment. Yet here it is: a newly opened sushi–taco king in Shanghai.

This small street-side taco shop near Jing'an Temple offers more than ten flavours, including crab stick and grilled eel.

The shop specialises in sushi tacos that are noticeably oversized—closer to holding a small poke bowl than a typical taco, raising the question of whether it's a taco, a sushi roll, or something in between. Each one is roughly palm-sized and fully packed, with freshly prepared toppings.

Most items are priced at around ten yuan, making it possible for someone with a small appetite to eat for under 20 RMB. Eel and salmon are frequently mentioned as standout choices.
