Every weekday, Wigwam, the earthy, lay-down lounge in C-Park, gives a free Americano to the first 15 people who show up to hang out or work or whatever. They've got a good sound system, and they play great music. You can bring your dog. It's not just the chillest place in C-Park, it's one of the chillest spots in the whole city. They've got wi-fi and vibes. Seems like a great place to work or "work". The only real stipulation is that it's dine-in only – you cannot get a free coffee to go.
Monday Coin Boost @Cages (Jiangning Lu)
Easily one of the best deals in the city right here. Every Monday (except holidays), all day long, massive sports bar/activities center, Cages, will give you one game coin for every 1rmb you spend. You can use these tokens to hit the batting cages or play skeeball, pinball, arcade basketball (the three-pointer game is wild), ping pong, or any of their many other games (pool works on a different system though). We've tried it, and a draft beer and a lemonade got us more than enough tokens to last a good two hours. AND, the coins stay valid for five days. Highly recommended. Separate from this, they've also got dodgeball and Russian quiz night on Monday nights.
Morton's Power Hour: 45rmb Drinks + Free Mini Burger @Morton's (IFC)
Chicago steakhouse Morton's has always had one of the best happy hours in town (OGs know about the free-flow mini sandwiches). These days, they offer a solid list of wines, draft beers, and cocktails like martinis and barrel-aged negronis for 45rmb a glass, and with every drink you get a free mini smash cheeseburger that they cook fresh. We've had them and would go back. They've also got a short list of happy hour snacks like Parmesan truffle fries, buffalo chicken goujonettes, short rib steak tacos, and more, at prices much less than you'd normally pay here (this is a place you could easily walk out of a few thousand rmb lighter). And the nice environment and great view of Lujiazui pretty much make up for the 10% service fee. Available daily from 5-8pm including weekends. Solid!

Monday Buy-One-Get-One Slice Night @Homeslice Kitchen (Shankang Li)
NYC-style pizza joint Homeslice has a solid deal on every Monday night at all their stores: buy any slice and any drink and get the second slice for free. Solid deal. Not valid on public holidays.
Bubbles @ So Mezze
Weekend afternoons get a little lighter with a two-hour sparkling free-flow. From 2pm to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday, choose between classic Mimosas — orange juice topped with bubbles — or simply stick with crisp sparkling wine. It's 158rmb per person for two hours, designed for slow conversations, late brunches, and easy weekend pacing. No rush, just bubbles and an afternoon that stretches a little longer.
Fathom Weekend Brunch: Seafood Platters + Free-Flow Drinks @Fathom
FATHOM's weekend brunch runs every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, with terrace seating overlooking the Bund. The seafood-focused menu starts at 888rmb for a sharing platter with Scottish langoustines, New Zealand Moana oysters, Kamchatka king crab, and Sakhalin scallops, while the 1,088rmb option adds 10-year-aged sturgeon caviar. There's also a selection of brunch dishes including Peruvian ceviche, crab Benedict, black cod fish and chips, and French omelette with eel. For drinks, free-flow cocktails, mocktails, beer and soft drinks are 348rmb, or upgrade to 598rmb for free-flow Champagne and sparkling wines. Available every Saturday and Sunday through September 27.
Wednesday All-You-Can-Eat Schnitzel @Abbey Road
Abbey Road is doing a two-hour all-you-can-eat schnitzel deal every Wednesday, with unlimited servings of crispy pork and chicken schnitzel. It runs from 4pm until close, making it an easy midweek dinner option if a plate of schnitzel sounds like a good idea. Available every Wednesday through December 31.
Daily Happy Hour: Draft Beer, Wine + Frozen Margaritas @Abbey Road
Abbey Road runs happy hour every day from 4-8pm, with deals on draft beer, house wine, house spirits, frozen margaritas, and more. An easy option for an after-work drink or an early start to the evening, with a mix of beer, wine, spirits, and frozen cocktails to choose from.
