Eagle-eyed readers will know we do this poster giveaway with Sub-Culture every month. For each of their parties Sub-Culture commission an artist to design some artwork, which is then screen printed up by Idle Beats as a limited edition poster.
Well, for their five-year anniversary next weekend, they’ve commissioned Optigram to do the poster. He’s the artist who designed much of the cover art for Warp Records, Planet Mu, XLR8R and Hyperdub.
Check out some of his work:

Tasty, huh?

On top of this, SubCulture have created a limited edition T-shirt designed by Zeke Clough, who is responsible for the artwork for Shackleton’s Skull Disco and Woe To The Sceptic Heart labels. He’s also the designer who kicked off Sub-Culture’s collaboration with Idle Beats. When they first brought Shackleton to China in April 2010 they asked Clough to design the poster and they were so pleased with how it turned out, they’ve done it every month since. This T-shirt is the first item in Sub-Culture’s forthcoming clothing line, which should debut early next year.

Very limited numbers of the shirt will be available to buy next weekend at their anniversary party, packaged in screen-printed, numbered envelopes. You can email subcultureshanghai@gmail.com if you want to reserve one. Here's what it looks like:
