In Shanghai for over four years now. Fitness lover. Very amateur badminton player. Love reading. Sometimes I write about the little things in this big city.

Down on B1 of CITIC Square, there's a small vintage shop that's easy to find, head in from the mall entrance, take the escalator down, and it's right there. The space isn't big, but it's packed with vintage toys, ceramics, records, and small collectibles that look like they've been gathered slowly over time.

Most of the selection leans heavily Japanese, and the range of IPs is pretty wide. There's plenty of Sanrio: Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, and other cute staples, alongside Ultraman, Mario, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, Fujiya's Peko-chan, and more. Beyond character goods, there are retro mugs, small porcelain figures, keychains, vinyl records, and even some vintage electronics and audio gear, including things like old Mitsubishi DIATONE speakers.

Prices vary depending on how rare something is. There are plenty of small finds for just a few dozen rmb, but also more collectible pieces, like certain cups or character items, that can run into the several hundreds. Very much a browse-and-see-what-you-like situation.

It's not the kind of place you walk through in five minutes. You have to take your time and dig a little. The shop even has a few small stools so you can sit down and slowly flip through things. Easy to stop by, and easy to end up staying longer than planned.
