China's first ever Comic Con went down last weekend in north Shanghai, and from the cynics we spoke with who attended, it was a success. A well-executed, professional event -- especially for a first run. Every talk / discussion / activity started on time, the setup looked nice, and even the food seemed good. No shanzhai McDonald's like at China Joy. And while China Joy brings out hordes of mouth-breathing fanboys and sketchy uncles with cameras, Comic Con saw loads of locals and foreign fans who came dressed up and ready to participate -- not just gawk.
But now it is time to gawk. Here's 42 pictures from our resident photographer Brandon McGhee.
