The Odyssey of Art is now open and runs until July 6. This is the 11th installment in the museum’s ongoing “Collection Case Study” series, which explores contemporary Chinese artists through deep archival research. Zhang Fuxing, a Shanghai-born painter known for reinventing traditional Chinese landscapes, flower-and-bird motifs, and water town scenes, has donated over 40 key works to the museum. This show traces his 40-year artistic evolution across three thematic sections—poetic water towns, vibrant floral fields, and majestic mountains—highlighting his brushwork experiments and ongoing reimagination of ink painting in the 21st century.
