Description

Antje Weithaas and Ning Feng share the stage for a duo recital on May 16, marking their first joint appearance in this format. The teacher-and-student pairing will perform works by Mozart, Leclair, Bériot, Bartók, and Ysaÿe, focusing on repertoire for two violins and violin and viola. The program spans classical to 20th-century works, presented as a dedicated chamber music evening.

About the Performance

This duo recital brings together Antje Weithaas and Ning Feng in a shared chamber music setting. The program features works for violin and viola as well as two violins, presenting repertoire from the Classical period through the 20th century.

Composers on the program include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jean-Marie Leclair, Charles-Auguste de Bériot, Béla Bartók, and Eugène Ysaÿe. The selection highlights different approaches to string duo writing, from Classical elegance to folk-inspired miniatures and virtuosic sonata form.
