A month-long lakeside food market at Bicester Village, built around a slightly loose but very workable idea: if it can be wrapped, stuffed, or folded, it counts. Running April 24 to May 24, the market pulls together about 20+ vendors doing everything from xiaolongbao and pan-fried buns to croissant ice cream sandwiches and mochi-style desserts.
It’s not strictly traditional: more like a greatest-hits remix of “bao” across cuisines, with plenty of room for sweets and drinks in between. Expect a lot of handheld, walk-and-eat stuff. It’s set up by the water, so the pace is slow: snack, walk, repeat. There are also tea and yogurt drink brands on hand if you need something to cut through the carbs. During the May holiday, they’re layering on some light gamification: spend a bit, get a mystery “bao”-themed blind box, that kind of thing, but the core appeal is the same: an easy afternoon of grazing in decent weather. Low commitment, high snack density. Bring friends, come hungry.
