Ton Koopman, one of the world’s leading authorities on historical performance, leads the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra in a program featuring Bach’s orchestral suites, Brandenburg concertos, and cantatas. The concert includes an intermission and offers a rare chance to experience period instrument performances of these iconic works.

The program opens with Bach’s Orchestral Suite No.1 in C major, BWV 1066, followed by Brandenburg Concerto No.2 in F major, BWV 1047, and Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G major, BWV 1048. After an intermission, the second half features Bach’s cantata BWV 42, “Am Abend aber desselbigen Sabbats, Sinfonia,” and Brandenburg Concerto No.1 in F major, BWV 1046. All repertoire is subject to the live performance.

Audiences can experience historically informed performances of Bach with one of the leading figures in Baroque music. Ton Koopman’s mastery and the ABO&C’s world-class musicianship make it a must-see for anyone interested in Baroque orchestral and choral music.
