This Friday, POTENT hosts a night of electronic music featuring local and international DJs with roots in Beijing and Shanghai’s underground scenes. Yang Bing, a key figure in Beijing’s electronic and tech-house culture since the mid-1990s, alongside Jeff Chong and Javis, brings a mix of techno, house, and deep electronic rhythms shaped by decades of club experience at home and abroad. At POTENT, Fat-K and Nikki take over the floor with sets blending hip-hop, disco, and house influences. The event highlights both the evolution of China’s electronic music scene and the ongoing dialogue between its different regional styles.
