Lifeline is a non-profit organization that provides a helpline service for the English-speaking community China. They offer free, anonymous and confidential support on the phone for individuals in times of emotional distress or crisis. Whatever the reason, you can et help from a volunteer offering non-judgmental support. Their 10am-10pm helpline is geared towards suicide prevention, help with anxiety, improving self-esteem, and basically anything else you are having trouble with. Telephone volunteers will listen, support, and assist you in clarifying options and choices for yourself. They might also give you information about community services, or other Lifeline Shanghai services which you may find useful.
