Now showing at Fotografiska: The Coexistence of Imperfection, a surreal, color-drenched dive into the world of South Korean photographer Cho Gi-Seok.
If you've seen his dreamy visuals for Jennie, XG, or campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Prada, you already know the vibe: delicate, hyper-composed scenes that blur nature, fashion, and fantasy. This is his first major solo show in China, and it's a good one.
Spanning four key series — Flower Study, Bad Dream, Love & Hate, and These Days — the exhibition explores contradictions: beauty and fragility, tradition and futurism, chaos and calm. It's the kind of show you walk through slowly. It rewards a second look.
Cho only picked up a camera in 2016 (!), and now he's shaping what a "New Asian" visual language might look like — rooted in heritage, filtered through youth culture, rendered in saturated digital perfection.
On now through March 8. Go see it. Fotografiska tickets are available here.
