If you're looking to extend your literary circle outside of Shanghai, there's a series of events on for Saturday, organized and hosted by Beijing's Spitoon literary collective. They've been behind some regular poetry nights in that city for a few years now and are self-publishing their own bi-annual literary journal. They're in town for three vents on Saturday as part of a China poetry tour. So they've got three things on for Saturday: a translation workshop, a poetry reading featuring Beijing and Shanghai poets, and then their infamous Battle of the Bars event.
