Find Volunteer Opportunities This Tuesday at Bumbu

Looking to put some time into something meaningful? Community Center Shanghai's CharityLink program runs next Tuesday, matching charity and nonprofit organizations with volunteers from 6pm at Indonesian restaurant Bumbu in Jing'an. The org's will be offering information about what they do and how you can get involved. Stop by to find out what you might be interested in participating in or just go for the special 50rmb full dinner meal that Bumbu is offering to the charity event's attendees. The Charities

The Essential Learning Group provides special education and developmental, behavioral, and mental health services to children in China.

The Chi Heng Foundation funds and operates projects in education and care for children and adults impacted by AIDS.

River of Hearts is Community Center Shanghai's outreach program that donates used and new items to disadvantaged children through the expat community.

Giving Tree is another Community Center Shanghai program that distributes gift bags, sponsored by companies and individuals, to children in need across China.

Stepping Stones is a registered nonprofit charity that works with volunteer English teachers to improve the education of migrant children.

Shanghai Riding for the Disabled helps the mental health and wellbeing of disabled children through therapeutic horseback riding.

Paw Pals Animal Rescue (PPAR) is an animal shelter that finds homes for their rescued cats through adoption.

Heart to Heart is a nonprofit organization composed of volunteers that provide care and support to poor Chinese children who are undergoing heart surgery.
