Just a little heads up, market fans! The Green Escape street market is back after nearly a six month break due to the thing. COVID. You know. They're taking over Anyi Lu again, that little stretch of road by Jing'an Kerry Center, and packing it with food vans, arts and crafts pop-ups, games for the family, a little live entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to stand around, day drink, and comment on each others' dogs. Wholesome, community fun for the whole family, now that we're allowed to stand less than six feet apart.

They actually had their first iteration last weekend which, despite rain, seems like it was a success. It's part of a grander city-wide initiative to jumpstart the city a little bit, encourage people to go out again. People went out! People had fun! People spent money. We have the images to prove it after the jump. The Green Escape market is on again this weekend, and every Saturday and Sunday (plus Dragon Boat) in June. So... go! Or don't. Your call! It's happening from noon till 11pm.
